WWE COO and legend Triple H sends a message to West Ham United fans

The Premier League season has begun, sending the football fans into frenzy. It is always special when two worlds collide; WWE has always been active in reaching out to stars and teams from the sporting world.

Not too long ago, Triple H sent a customised WWE Championship to the winners of the 2017 edition of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians, and their captain Rohit Sharma.

It is not a secret that Triple H is a big sports buff, and is an avid fan of West Ham United. Triple H had previously professed his love for The Hammers, and even tipped Andy Carroll to succeed in WWE – if the lanky talisman ever decided to follow in the footsteps of former German goalkeeper – turned – WWE Superstar, Tim Wiese.

With SummerSlam coming up, Triple H once again took time out of his busy schedule, to send across a message to the West Ham faithful. The Hammers will open their 2017 – 2018 campaign this Sunday, when they visit the iconic Theatre of Dreams.

Triple H sounded off the warning bells for the red part of Manchester, urging The Hammers to make a statement by beating the Europa League winners.

“I am not going to lie, this is a big week. It’s game time!” Triple H said in a video.

“This Sunday West Ham kick-off the season at Manchester United, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

It does not get tougher than that.

But every Hammers fan knows victory is sweeter when it is hard-earned.”

Triple H then plugged SummerSlam 2017, which will emanate from Brooklyn, New York.

“And then next Sunday it is WWE SummerSlam, live from Brooklyn, New York. The question is: are you ready? I said – ARE YOU READY!”

SummerSlam will be headlined by Brock Lesnar, Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman in a Fatal Four Way match, for the WWE Universal Championship.

The WWE Championship will be decided on the night as well, with Jinder Mahal defending the gold against ‘The King of Strong Style’, Shinsuke Nakamura.
