Currently on a tour of Australia to promote his movie ‘Ferdinand’, former world champion John Cena took some time out to try his hand at the country’s favourite sport.
Read some #Ferdinand, played some Cricket (poorly) and had a great time the past few days in Sydney until the teacher took attendance in class and I was marked absent… U?C??♂️ pic.twitter.com/stIOqDeKoW

The 40-year-old turned teamed up with Sydney Thunder captain Shane Watson and tried learning the all-rounder’s trade. And the result doesn’t really flatter the WWE superstar.
The last time we saw the former world champion in action was at Survivor Series, where he was a part of the team Smackdown Live in the traditional 5-on-5 main event. While Cena is not scheduled to make an in-ring appearance anytime soon, he may make a comeback in the lead upto WWE’s marquee pay-per-view event Royal Rumble next year. As far as Shane Watson is concerned, he is set to lead Sydney Thunder this year in the Big Bash League, which starts on December 9.
