Everton got a huge boost in their bid to stay alive in the Premier League by securing a 4-0 victory over West Ham United on Thursday.
At the heart of their success at Goodison Park was veteran Wayne Rooney, who scored a sensational hat-trick to secure the win against his former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes. The 32-year-old topped off his brace in the first-half with a stunning strike from his own half in the 66th minute. It was low, flat and in the centre of goal from the former Manchester United captain as he capitalised on the poor clearance by Joe Hart, scoring his fifth goal of the season.
