India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has not had a great outing this year in the IPL. After missing out on the first few games due to shoulder injury, the 28-year-old managed to get 50+ scores only four times this season, compared to his 11 last year.
The skipper did show signs of getting back in form in RCB’s final game against Delhi Daredevils, as he scored 58 from 45 balls, which included three fours and three sixes. One of the sixes was an unbelievable check drive over cover.
“That six, honestly, I was looking to push this between the two fielders to try and pick up two but I think Corey (Anderson) bowled a cross-seam ball. I’m pretty happy with the way I hit the ball today and more happy that I did it in a winning cause. Really happy to have got some runs ahead of the Champions Trophy,” Kohli said at the post-match presentation.
