KL Rahul deserves to play at the top of the batting order, irrespective of which side he represents. Once Kings XI Punjab paid that massive price at the auction for him, he was likely to get that opportunity on consistent basis. And the Karnataka batsman has delivered big in the opening game!
Rahul hit the fastest half-century in IPL history, bringing it up in just 14 balls. His innings included six boundaries and four sixes! He went ahead of Yusuf Pathan (2014) and Sunil Narine (2017), both of whom did it in 15 balls. While he was dismissed two balls later, Punjab were off to a flying start chasing 167 runs against Delhi Daredevils.
