After an impressive performance on his County debut, Ishant Sharma has grabbed the headlines again. However this time, it is with the bat!
In his debut game against Warwickshire, the 29-year-old finished with a five-wicket haul in the game, with some exceptional bowling in favourable conditions. In his second game, Sharma went on to score his maiden First-Class half-century, bringing up the landmark in 91 balls. Sussex were 240/7 on Day 1 against Leicestershire when Sharma walked out to bat, and has added over hundred runs for the ninth wicket along with Michael Burgess. He finished with 66 off 141 balls, batting for more than three hours!
