Watch: Captain Rohit Sharma slams joint-fastest T20 International century

It was an ODI double century in Mohali, now a T20I century in Indore – Rohit Sharma loves batting against Sri Lanka.

The 30-year-old went on to score his second hundred in T20 Internationals, smashing an incredible 118 runs from 43 balls. He brought up the three-figure mark in the 35th delivery, joining David Miller as the fastest centurion in T20Is!

The innings was part of a 165-run stand with KL Rahul – the highest partnership by an Indian pair for any wicket in T20s. After a couple of overs to get set, Rohit unleashed an assault on the bowlers, registering 12 fours and 10 sixes in the innings.

India managed to post 260/5 in their 20 overs, the joint-second highest total in T20s and their highest. KL Rahul managed a excellent knock of 89 off just 49 balls, MS Dhoni hit a quick 28 and Hardik Pandya smashed 10 off 3 balls to help India post the massive score in Indore.
