Update on Hogan appearing at WrestleMania, Heyman talks about dream match in WWE

Hulk Hogan returning to WWE soon?

Hulk Hogan and Triple H interact at Andre the Giant premiere

Hulk Hogan and WWE Superstars, including Triple H, appeared together at the Andre the Giant documentary premiere yesterday. WWE has cut ties with Hulk Hogan for his racist remarks couple of years ago, and Hogan appearing with the Superstars fanned the flames about The Hulkster returning to WWE soon.

With Daniel Bryan cleared to compete in the ring, he is expected to give up the General Manager role on SmackDown Live, and more recently, a few reports found their way online about Hulk Hogan returning to WWE as the new General Manager of SmackDown Live.

However, WWE released a statement, distancing itself from Hogan. The statement read:

Hulk Hogan is an important part of Andre the Giant’s history, however his appearance at tonight’s HBO premiere of the documentary and his plans to help others learn from his mistakes does not mean WWE is rehiring him. Hogan is not scheduled to be at any upcoming WWE events.

Paul Heyman talks about a possible Brock Lesnar – Daniel Bryan match

The advocate recently gave an interview to newsweek.com, where he talked about Daniel Bryan’s return. Heyman also sprinkled some hope about the long – standing dream match between Bryan and Lesnar.

“Ecstatic. This is all Daniel Bryan has wanted since the moment he was told he was being forced to retire. And the emotional rollercoaster that he has been on since that moment has always been with the light at the end of the tunnel, thinking ‘somehow, someway a miracle will be bestowed upon me that I can be cleared and step back into the ring and do what I love to do more than anything else in this world.’

That’s all he wants to do. It’s what he dreams about, what he envisions, it’s what he wakes up wanting to do and thinks about when he’s going to sleep. So ever since that moment the doctors told him ‘sorry we’re going to have to advise if you retire’ the only dream Daniel Bryan has had, the fantasy in his life, is to be cleared and to exploit the opportunity of stepping back into the ring. And now he has that chance. So I’m ecstatic for Daniel Bryan. Very few people I know deserve to live out their dreams more than Daniel Bryan.”

“I have wanted to see Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan even before Lesnar debuted on the main roster when Bryan was known as The American Dragon. I loved his matches even in the early part of his career and found him to be one of the most compelling, riveting performers in the history of this industry.”
