T10 Cricket League in Sharjah will see involvement of top international cricketers in December

The world’s first T10 league in Sharjah from 14th December to 17th December will see the involvement of several former and current international cricketers, who will be playing for one of six teams. The teams are called Maratha Arabians, Pakhtoon, Punjab Legends, Kerala Kings, Bengal Tigers and Team Sri Lanka Cricket.

The draft for the league took place on November 6th, with Mohammad Amir becoming the first player to be picked, Maratha Arabians being the team which snapped him up. The Arabians will also see Virender Sehwag taking the field for the team, while England’s limited overs captain Eoin Morgan was named the icon player for the Kerala Kings. Shahid Afridi will turn out for Pakhtoon, while Shoaib Malik will play for the Punjab Legends.

Sri Lanka Cricket will be comprised of players from Colombo, who have won the domestic limited overs tournament. Dinesh Chandimal will captain the side, since he is not included in the Sri Lankan cricket team’s ODI squad for the upcoming series against India which begins on December 10th.

This will be the world’s first T10 competition, with each innings lasting only 10 overs. The matches, which will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Ground will last only 90 minutes. The full squads for the tournament are –
