Shane Warne

Shane Warne is a joy to interview – he’s one of the best analysts in the game, and is as articulate as they come. We interviewed him in the middle of the T20 World Cup, so this interview is a little T20-heavy. Virat Kohli was in the form of his life – and Warne had plenty of praise for the current Indian test captain.

In Part I of the interview, we ask Warne about Virat Kohli – is he the best batsman in the world? Comparisons with Sachin Tendulkar are inevitable – as are comparisons with this RCB team-mate AB de Villiers.

Part I also features an interesting segment on MS Dhoni’s captaincy, as well as some fun anecdotes on Ravindra Jadeja, who Warne groomed during IPL I.

Part II of the interview revolves around leg spin – and how leg-spinners are performing well in T20 cricket.

Shane Warne talks about the IPL in Part III – and how it has helped young Indian cricketers.

Warne was a master of mental warfare, and he explains the importance of mind-games in international cricket.
