The former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and Travis Browne tied the knot last month, and it looks like Conor McGregor won’t be the only UFC star to compete outside the UFC.
Ronda Rousey’s last fight was in December last year, where she was convincingly beaten by the current bantamweight queen, Amanda Nunes. Ronda has since maintained a very low profile, and for all intents and purposes, has retired from MMA.
But as one door closes, another opens, and Ronda has turned her attention to pro wrestling. While ‘Rowdy’ has been frequently spotted at Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) shows, Ronda was in attendance during the recent episode of the WWE Mae Young Classic.

Ronda Rousey was in attendance to cheer on her close friend, and a member of the Four Horsewomen stable, Shayna Baszler. Shayna faced Mercedes Martinez in the semi finals of the Mae Young Classic, and defeated the current Shimmer Champion. ‘The Queen of Spades’ will now face Kairi Sane in the finals of the inaugural WWE Mae Young Classic tournament.
Ronda, along with Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir was seen backstage, as she talked about the Mae Young Classic. The trio were then confronted by Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Becky Lynch, as Ronda teased her return to the WWE ring.
Ronda Rousey told the WWE Superstars to name a place and time, and that she would see them in the ring. For the past couple of years, WWE has been trying to book Ronda in a WrestleMania match. Ronda was booked in a segment at WrestleMania 31, along with The Rock, as they confronted Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
While it is possible that WWE could pull the trigger with Ronda at Royal Rumble, it is likely that they would continue to build the anticipation, with a blow – off match at WrestleMania next year.
