On 17th February 1990, Saeed Anwar scored his first century in ODI cricket, against Sri Lanka at the Adelaide Oval.
The Pakistan opener hit a magnificent 126, in the process smashing 8 boundaries and 6 sixes. It was a knock that made the world take notice of the talent of the 23-year-old batsman, because of the ease at which he was able to clear one of the largest grounds in the world. His 126 runs which came off just 99 balls, helped Pakistan post a massive score of 315 in the first innings, eventually winning the match by 27 runs.
