The RAW Review – Cena gives The Undertaker an ultimatum, Lesnar destroys Reigns

John Cena took on Kane in the main event

We’re now counting down the days for WrestleMania 34, and the RAW Superstars reached the penultimate stop. After last week’s beatdown, when Lesnar dismantled a hapless Reigns, the Beast Incarnate and his advocate were present on this week’s show.

Also, the growing tensions between Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax finally led to Jax trying to get her hands on Bliss last week. However, Mickie James ensured that Jax wouldn’t get her hands on Bliss, and was rewarded with a bout against the vengeful Nia Jax on this week’s show.

Talking about vengeful, John Cena’s relentless call outs led to Kane confronting the Leader of Cenation, as he laid Cena out last week with a chokeslam. Both the Superstars faced each other this week, as John Cena continued his tirade against the legendary Phenom.

Let us take a closer look at the events that transpired on this week’s show.

Brock Lesnar puts a vicious beatdown on Roman Reigns

Last week, Lesnar destroyed Roman Reigns with multiple chair shots, and sent him to the hospital. On this week’s episode, Brock and Heyman kicked things off, as Heyman talked about what Lesnar would do to Reigns come WrestleMania 34. Heyman then informed the fans that Roman was no longer suspended, but he was not in the building, courtesy of what Brock did to him last week.

However, Reigns showed up through the fans, and Brock went right after him. Reigns sent Brock into the steel post, but Lesnar retaliated by suplexing Roman outside the ring! Lesnar then decked Roman couple of times with the steel steps, before punishing Reigns with more chair shots. Brock then dropped Reigns on the steel steps with an F – 5, leaving Roman in a heap for the second week running!

Nia Jax faced Mickie James, with Bliss at ringside. Mickie tried to take Nia off her feet, and worked on her leg, but Jax won the match in the end. Bliss tried to blindside Nia, but ran out of the ring once Jax tried to get her hands on Alexa.

Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali teamed up to face TJ Perkins and Drew Gulak. The faces, who will face each other at WrestleMania for the vacant Cruiserweight title, had to endure some punishment, before making their charge late into the match. Alexander picked up the victory for his team with the Lumbar Check.

Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas pretend to get mad at The Miz, attack Balor and Rollins

Last week, The Miztourage once again let Miz down, leading to Balor and Rollins once again getting the better of The Miz. This week during the MizTV segment, the WWE Intercontinental Champion once again directed his ire at Dallas and Axel, and said he was the Intercontinental Champion despite having those two as his backup. Bo Dallas then said he wouldn’t have won the title without them as Rollins made his way out.

Seth tried to fan the flames, saying Miz should be thanking the two instead. This led to a back and forth with Miz getting on Axel’s nerves by bringing up his father, as Balor also joined the proceedings. Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas then pretended to get mad at Miz, only to attack Balor and Rollins! The Good Brothers then made the save, as Rollins took Miz out. Balor then dropped Rollins with the Sling Blade to end the segment.

Asuka faced, and easily defeated Jamie Frost.

Backstage, Sasha Banks and Bayley finally had enough, and got into a brawl. WWE officials had to separate the two, as their strained friendship finally snapped.

The Bar asks Strowman to reveal his partner

Cesaro and Sheamus are scheduled to defend their RAW Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 34 against Braun Strowman, and a partner of his choosing. However, with just days to go for the big event, The Bar – and the rest of the WWE Universe, were still trying to find who Braun’s opponent was going to be at WrestleMania.

Strowman then informed Sheamus that if he managed to beat him, he would reveal who his partner will be at WrestleMania 34. While Cesaro tried to interfere in the match, The Monster Among Men was able to put the two Superstars away without much difficulty, securing a victory en route to the mega event.

Ronda Rousey sends a message to Stephanie McMahon, takes out Absolution

At WrestleMania, Stephanie and Triple H will join forces for the first time in years as competitors, to take on the team of Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey. This week on RAW, Kurt Angle introduced Ronda to the WWE fans, who talked about Stephanie not being tough. She called Stephanie “trust fund tough” and vowed to beat her at WrestleMania.

This brought Absolution down to the ring, led by Paige. The Anti – Diva told Ronda to side with them instead of with Kurt Angle, so as to be successful and not incur the wrath of Stephanie. Ronda declined the offer, leading to Mandy and Sonya attacking her. Ronda thwarted their attacks, and trapped Mandy in an arm bar, but had to let go due to Kurt Angle’s interference. Absolution backed off as Kurt raised Ronda’s hand to end the segment.

The Good Brothers faced Miztourage, and after some back and forth exchange, won the match with the Magic Killer.

Elias returns to RAW

The Drifter made his return to RAW, as he ripped into Cleveland, and putting down Cleveland Browns. However, he was interrupted by Rhyno, who he was scheduled to face on the show.

Elias defeated Rhyno after a back and forth affair, laying out the man beast in the process. When Slater tried to check on his partner, Elias laid him out as well, and looked at the WrestleMania sign.

John Cena gives The Undertaker an ultimatum

Last week on RAW, John Cena belittled The Undertaker, but it was his brother, Kane that answered the challenge. Kane dropped Cena with a chokeslam, and this week, both the Superstars faced each other in a No DQ match.

Cena mocked The Undertaker several times during the bout, as both the Superstars exchanged near falls. Kane put Cena through a table, but was only able to get a two count. Cena, however, managed to pick up the win by putting Kane through a table with an AA.

Post match, Cena once again prodded and implored The Undertaker to do something, as the fans chanted ‘Taker’s name. Cena then told Undertaker that he better show up next week, and answer his challenge.
