Ravichandran Ashwin ruled out of Deodhar Trophy

Off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been ruled out of the upcoming 2018 Deodhar Trophy to be held in Dharamsala.

The 31-year-old was named skipper of the India A side on Wednesday (February 28) but was ruled out of the competition later in the day. According to BCCI’s release, Ashwin has a niggling issue and the medical team has advised him a week’s rest.

Shahbaz Nadeem has been named as replacement, with Maharashtra’s Ankit Bawne set to lead the India A team.
