The West Indies side that will take the field against India in the only T20I of this tour promises to be a much stronger team with the inclusion of big names like Chris Gayle, Sunil Narine, Samuel Badree, Marlon Samuels, Kieron Pollard and Carlos Brathwaite. While Gayle is all set to open the innings for the West Indies, the middle order looks much stronger with Samuels, Rovman Powell and Pollard. The hosts’ bowling attack also looks much stronger with Williams and Brathwaite to bowl pace along with the spin duo of Narine and Badree.
The big question for India is whether or not Rishabh Pant will get a game. Shikhar Dhawan is sure to open the innings but his opening partner could well be anyone between Rahane, Kohli or Pant. If Kohli continues to open, there is a good chance that Pant gets a go at number 3 or 4. Dinesh Karthik should retain his place in the team along with Dhoni, Jadhav and Pandya to follow. Ravichandran Ashwin might get the nod ahead of Ravindra Jadeja to bowl alongside Kuldeep Yadav.
